Three-time Sunland Park riding champion Joe Martinez sizzled on Friday by

winning five races, the best day for any jockey this season..

 

With a ground saving ride, the expert reinsman won the 4^th race at 870 yards

with 6-5 favorite CM Now. He teamed with Eye Opened Expert to win the 5^th

race at 350 yards in a photo finish over Miss Tiffany Otoole.

 

His sharp winning ways continued with This Snow Is Blazin. Martinez helped

the 5-1 shot recover from a slow start to win going away in the 6^th race at 350 yards.

 

Martinez capped his fourth straight win with a come from behind win aboard

Trojan’s Gold in the 7^th race at five and one-half furlongs. The 3-2 favorite responded

boldly in circling the field around the turn.

 

With another patient ride, Martinez won his fifth race of the day aboard Seminar in

the 9^th race at one mile. Seminar opened up a daylight advantage at the top of the

stretch and won under confident handling at 2-1 odds.
