Trail This takes $40,000 Inaugural Handicap One of the more impressive races we’ve seen this meet was turned in on Saturday by the Turf Paradise-based shipper Trail This, who won the $40,000 Inaugural Handicap under jockey David Essman. Trail This, a 5-year-old gelding, led gate to wire picking up his ninth win from 16 lifetime wins. Trail This ran the 6 1-2 furlongs in a swift final time of 1 minute, 16.2 seconds. "We’re excited to have a chance to show this horse up here," owner/trainer Robert Score said after the race. "This was a great race for him." Trail This earned $24,000 with the win, increasing his lifetime earnings to $186,390. Score indicated that Trail This, who earlier this year won the G Malleah Stakes and Swift Stakes at Turf Paradise, might be headed back out on the road, possibly to California, but we may see this owner/trainer back in New Mexico before long as Trail This’s full sister was just recently foaled in the Land of Enchantment. click here to read MORE...
